The Healys in The Lake District 2003

The Healys folk band are (from the left) Tony Erskine, Erne Parkin, Joe Warburton (who joined the band in 2000 playing bass guitar) and John Havelock. The band play a range of electric and acoustic instruments and have been together for many years playing exciting and entertaining Irish, Scottish, English and American folk music.

They have enjoyed touring The Highlands of Scotland, Mull, Lake District, Fife, Islay and the Scottish Borders, selling their CDs to support The Suzy Fund, a charity that helps feed children in Ethiopia.

This year, in St Abbs, The Healys held their first 'Art for Life' exhibition featuring their paintings, prints, sculptures and photographs, profits from sales boosted their contribution to the Suzy Fund.

In June 2006 The Suzy Fund received £250 from DUCK - Durham University Charities Kommittee. The money went towards funding 'No Ties', the latest Healys CD. All money raised from sales will be given to the fund. Since 2000 The Healys have raised over £17,000 for this cause.
